Conceived by interior designer Shaun Clarkson, this is a large and spacious barn conversion made for the ultimate private country house parties. Forget chintzy cottages, if you want to hire a large country house oozing with style, this country pad was made for it. A unique property offering the luxuries of a first class hotel with the exclusivity of a private home, this is a house party venue with serious amounts of quirky luxuries to get the party going.

Inside

• Style: The lavish décor melds the luxury and the kitsch into a Texas-style hunting lodge featuring stag heads, Turkish rugs, chrome lamps, tartan upholstery and antique chandeliers.
• Bedrooms: 7 doubles, 2 of which can be twins (5 rooms with en suites); 1 bunkroom with 2 sets of bunks, a wet room and plunge bath. Free standing roll-top baths, underfloor heating in every room and a four-poster bed made from branches are just a few of the treats in store in your sleeping quarters.
• For relaxation: Sink into the hot tub, sizzle in the sauna, or relax by the huge log-burning fireplaces.
• For recreation: Get down to the floor-shaking sound system – a range of activities or party themes can be organised indoors and out.

Outside

Spread out in the three acres of private grounds. A huge sitting room opens onto a courtyard equipped with a Spanish fountain, a hot tub, a sauna and a barbecue. You can also arrange for your guests to stay in the Barn’s very own Tipi, complete with flooring, giant cushions and lanterns.

Food and wine

• DIY: The property is available on a self-catering basis. Get creative in a fantastic catering style kitchen with an amazing 5-ring gas hob and oven, and floor to-ceiling windows overlooking the countryside. Serve up your culinary delights in a dining room that seats up to 35 round a grand banqueting table.
• In-house cuisine: The in-house chef can whip up sumptuous local cuisine according to your tastes (at extra cost).
• Eating out: Recommended local gastro pubs and restaurants include The Dabbling Duck in Great Massingham, The Spread Eagle Inn in Bendish (www.spreadeagle-bartonbendish.co.uk) and Strattons in Swaffham (www.strattonshotel.com)
• Corkage? £6 per bottle for wine, champagne and spirits (excludes beer) and is applicable only if you choose a catered option.
